Enkon Energy Advisors is a specialized energy advisory firm providing strategic, commercial, and transactional support across the oil and gas value chain. Enkon Team

Enkon’s advisors are seasoned energy professions and through leaders with 20+ years of hands-on project development, commercial, business development and operation experience gained at Fortune 500 energy companies as well as consulting firms. The team’s geographical experience spans all major gas, NGL and LNG producing and consuming regions with demonstrated ability to work with government and private enterprises. In addition, Enkon also nourishes working relationships with a network of energy professionals that if required are leveraged to meet client needs.

Amol Wayangankar

Principal and Founder

Amol Wayangankar is the Founder and Principal of Enkon Energy Advisors and brings over 23 years of experience in market and commercial advisory across natural gas, LNG, and NGL markets. He has advised on a wide range of domestic and international energy infrastructure transactions, including asset valuations, commercial due diligence, feasibility studies, and contract negotiations supporting project developers, lenders, energy companies, and investors. His expertise spans upstream and midstream assets, including gas storage, pipelines, terminals, and processing facilities, as well as LNG import/export project development and structuring. Amol also has experience in fuel procurement strategies for power and industrial projects and in commercial structuring and negotiations across NGL markets. Prior to founding Enkon, he held senior roles advising C-suite executives on market strategy, investment opportunities, and business development. He holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Sardar Patel University.

John Bonn

Executive Director

John has over 40 years of experience in the energy industry and most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer of Encino Energy from 2017 until its sale to EOG in 2025, where he led commercial strategy for gas, oil, and NGL marketing, as well as midstream development and related negotiations. Prior to Encino, he served as COO and CEO of Southcross Energy and as President of NiSource Midstream, helping establish operations in the Marcellus and Utica shale plays, and has held senior leadership roles at Enterprise Products, Gulfterra Energy Partners, and El Paso Field Services. A Texas A&M graduate and former U.S. Army officer, he has also been active in industry and academic organizations, serving in leadership and board roles with groups including the Texas Pipeline Association, Marcellus Shale Coalition, and the Texas A&M Petroleum Ventures program.

Kush Thakkar

Operations Research Analyst

Kush Thakkar is an Operations Research Analyst at Enkon with 10+ years of combined experience in power generation, EPC, Compressed Natural Gas, RINS market & project management. Kush has domain knowledge in data mining, operations research, statistics & demand forecast planning. At Enkon, Kush focuses on midstream gas and NGL projects in support of financing, acquisition, and project development. Kush is also assisting in the development of granular well-level production forecasts for various shale plays in the U.S. Prior to joining Enkon, Kush worked with India’s largest private power producer in the capacity of a Senior Engineer to improve processes, turbine data analytics, publish operations & maintenance procedures and implement CMMS. Kush holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.

Connor Pence

Connor Pence is an energy finance professional with a strong analytical foundation and experience across both banking and energy consulting sectors. Currently an Analyst at Enkon Energy Advisors in Houston, Connor supports clients with data-driven insights and financial analysis in the dynamic energy space. Prior to this, he served as a Commercial Credit Analyst at Amarillo National Bank, where he specialized in strategic thinking, rate design, and credit assessment. Connor also previously worked with Enkon as a Research Analyst, developing key skills in market research and economic modeling. His background reflects a passion for solving complex problems at the intersection of finance, strategy, and energy markets.

Rhoda Kolapo

Andrea Linares

Palak Singh

Siddhant Kulkarni

Previously, he has gained experience in energy policy research at Payne Institute for Public Policy, with a focus on long-term risk mitigation and financial management of carbon capture, utilization, and storage projects (CCUS), as well as the viability of Hydrogen technology. He holds a Master’s degree in Mineral and Energy Economics from the Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Symbiosis School of Economics.
